Mexican Wolves

A call to action and support!

Hello nature people!

I wanted to reach out because I'm not sure if you've seen the action around Mexican Grey Wolves recently. There's an effort to move management of endangered Mexican Grey Wolves (who have seen some recovery in recent years) to the Arizona Game & Fish Department. A few ranchers have been pushing Cochise County elected officials to act on this effort, even floating the idea of filing a class action lawsuit to do so.

They're looking to move on this relatively quickly, so I wanted to encourage people to reach out to their county representatives and let them know what you think about this move. If you have time, tomorrow at 10:00 is a county board of supervisors meeting at Melody Lane in Bisbee. While a vote on the matter doesn't look to be on the agenda for tomorrow, you can sign up to speak for 3 minutes before 9:00 tomorrow (Tuesday May 20) as a "Call to Public" to express your concerns.
