Coronado National Memorial:

New Interpretive Programs, Plans, and Volunteer Opportunities

Coronado National Memorial has a new lead ranger named Luke Anders. He arrived at Coronado NM in August and has been making plans to revitalize the interpretation program. Bird walks and cave walks will begin on October 1st and Luke is also planning some educational community outreach programs. Another project on the horizon is opening up a visitor contact station on Montezuma Pass where Luke and volunteer docents can interact with visitors. This could be a fun and interesting volunteer opportunity for some of you, and there is still a need for volunteers in the existing visitor center. Luke will also entertain other ideas for volunteer service, so stop by and introduce yourself. Coronado NM is a wonderful resource, is located in a beautiful area a short distance from Sierra Vista, and would benefit from additional support, so give it some consideration.

Be sure to check the Coronado National Memorial http://nps.gov webpage for events and activities, and if you are a Facebook user, become a follower nps.gov/coro .
